During our Tree Planting work project we will be planting 90 new street trees in the Garden District. We are working with Tucson Clean & Beautiful, home owners from the neighborhood and other volunteers recruited by Tucson Clean and Beautiful to plant the trees. Tree locations will be Blue Staked and marked by pre-dug holes by TCB prior to the event.The Planting Day will be Saturday, December 9th, from 9 to Noon. We'll meet at the Little Free Library under the large mesquite on the corner of Lester and Justin (1 block north and east of Alvernon and Pima).
Arborists and tree tenders will teach you how to plant trees like a pro! All you need to do is show up. Please bring along a refillable water bottle, wear a sun hat and close-toed shoes. We'll provide everything you need: tools, gloves, drinking water and refreshments. We guarantee a fun time and you'll leave knowing you left the world a better place. Help us Plant the Future!
