PRESIDENT MARGARET started off the last meeting as our RCOT President by introducing new member ADAM ENGLISH who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and “AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL” accompanied by novice sprinter KHRIS DODGE on the piano.
PRESIDENT MARGARET took a few moments to thank all of the Chairs/Committees who have done so much this past year; and she gave special thanks to JOHN HARLOW who helps with meeting registrations every week.
Today our Inspiration was from JASON FLAX. He shared some coffee table wisdom, like “Stop overthinking, you’re the only one who cares.”
GARY OLSEN stepped in as SAA today and introduced us to our guests.
DIANA MADARAS presented the winner of the May Service Project Winner. Congratulations to PAM WALTON-ROSS! Also prizes will be drawn at the COA for those members with five or more service project points. Hope you all can attend and the deadline to register is 6/24/24.
PAST PRESIDENT BOB LOGAN introduced today’s program featuring Marc Hammond and Jeff Carver the Founders of Animal Experts “Tucson’s #1 Wildlife Control Company”. They introduced us to some of their critters; a Gopher snake, King snake, a Colorado River toad (no licking these things for funsies-BAD NEWS) and a couple of Gila Monsters, one they rescued, Dina, who is a family pet. Thankfully they kept their rattlesnake secure. No Rotarians were injured during this presentation. They talked about education and their experiences in this field. It was a wild program.We celebrated five birthdays today: GARY HIRSCH (6/6), DOUG LOWELL (6/6), JEFF RONSTADT (6/21), ANGELA MOORE (6/25) and MONTE CLAUSEN. Happy Birthday to all of you!!!

We had a special presentation today of the Orville McPherson Award, SANDRA JOHNSON, CHARLOTTE HARRIS & DARRELL STEWART introduced the inspiring and dedicated Rotarian GARY HIRSCH, a very deserved award, congratulations and thank you for all you do!
Stand in SAA GARY OLSEN announced the winner of the raffle, (not the 50/50) and the winner was WALLY JOHNSON, YAY!!

RCOT won a District Award for a Global Service Project -The Forgotten Children.
