Good afternoon fellow hikers,Thanks to all who provided feedback due to my conflicting schedule. As El Tour de Tucson is on the second proposed date, we will be completing this hike on Sunday, November 12 with an 8AM start time.
Pima Canyon to Lower Dam, out and back - 8AM Start time
As the days are getting cooler and sunrise later, we will plan to meet at the Pima Canyon Trailhead at 1610 E Magee Rd at 7:45AM for the planned 8AM start. Temperatures at start will be in the 50's at with afternoon highs projected in the mid 70's. The distance to the first dam is 3.2 miles out, so 6.4 total miles with a vertical gain of 850 feet. Anticipated hike time is 3-3.5 hours. Although cooler, it will likely be a sunny day so dress appropriately, bring your sunscreen and have sufficient water and snacks. Timing of our conclusion should be perfect for consideration of a bite to eat following.
