The Assistant Governor (AG) is the connection and liaison between the clubs and the District. Additionally, they are advocates for clubs and club members. AGs visit clubs at least quarterly and may participate in club projects and activities. Ideally they make opportunities to get to know the members and club culture as best as they can to provide support and encouragement. The Rotary Club of Tucson is in Region 8 (there are 14 Regions in District 5500), which includes the following clubs: Rincon Rotary Club of Tucson, Catalina Rotary Club, Pantano Rotary Club of Tucson, and the UA Rotaract Club. The Region 8 Assistant Governor this year is Ann Huber, recent past president of the Tucson Sunset Rotary Club, and the Region 8 AG from 2016-2019. She has been a Rotarian for 20 years and is looking forward to becoming reacquainted with RCOT friends and making new ones.
