What a pleasure it was to visit the University of Arizona Alfie Norville Gem and Mineral Museum. Located downtown in the old, beautiful, Pima County Courthouse. Not only did 18 Rotarians get to visit with each other in a relaxed setting but we also got to relish Arizona’s mining history as shown through original art work, mining artifacts, gems and minerals. The lighted display of gems and minerals from around the world was breathtaking. I expect that all of us will revisit this Tucson treasure, and will take guests there when they visit Tucson.  See accompanying photos for a small taste of the experience.
