Interned in 2022 in a deep hole, dug by past president John McCaleb, the Rotary Time Capsule lies prominently under a concrete slab with Rotary Club of Tucson emblazoned upon it at the corner of Toole & Fifth Avenues. It is a site loaned to the Rotary Club of Tucson by the hotel owner’s until April 2121, when it will be dug up and opened.
Every year in April, a group of dedicated club members head over to Hotel Congress to have a toast - this year’s group was lead by Club President Kurtis Dawson and the latest “96 bottles of beer on the wall” celebration.
Incoming President Dot Kret attended and is working on next year’s April date and “95 bottle singing”.
