The accelerating pace of technological change is disrupting existing systems and hierarchies around the world. Advances in artificial intelligence, robotics and Big Data – the Fourth Industrial Revolution -- will simultaneously eliminate and create millions of jobs.
 
Employers and schools need to collaborate now to leverage the rapid convergence of the world of work and the world of learning. Chancellor Lee D. Lambert, J.D., will chronicle how Pima Community College is repositioning itself as a critical workforce development partner in Southern Arizona, and how by working together, Pima and area industry can supply the human capital necessary for our region to remain relevant and prosperous into the 2020s and beyond.
 
Lee Lambert ~ Biography
 
Lee D. Lambert has been Chancellor of Pima Community College since July 2013.
 
Under Chancellor Lambert, Pima is focusing on student success, partnering with employers to create programs leading to relevant careers and economic development, and fostering a multicultural world that honors our differences as well as the values that unify us.
 
Chancellor Lambert is a founding member of the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), and serves on its Board of Directors. He is a member of the National Association of Workforce Boards, and sits on the steering committee of the Southwest Transportation Workforce Center. In October 2019, Chancellor Lambert was named chair of the UNMUDL Community College Founders’ Council, which assists adult working learners with coursework and networks that further their academic and career success.
 
Chancellor Lambert received a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash. 
 
A U.S. Army veteran, Chancellor Lambert was born in Seoul, South Korea, grew up on three continents, and graduated from high school in the Olympia, Wash. area. He likes for people to call him Lee.
