There is clear and compelling evidence that points to the physical and mental benefits of being of service to others. To attract and retain members, service organizations like Rotary and non-profits need to move away from altruistic appeals to service and embrace the self-interest of members and volunteers. In this presentation, Patrick Galvin will share his TEDx Talk “Should Self Interest Motivate Service?”, which can be watched here, and discuss membership engagement and recruitment ideas with a panel of Rotary Club of Tucson members.
