PAT ZAMBUSCH gave the inspiration.  His theme was Flexibility and Adaptability in reference to our last-minute program change.  He had excellent quotes from various luminaries, including President Kennedy and Yogi Berra.  CINDY BARBEE-SUGGS led us in the Pledge and Song, “God Bless America”.  GARY HIRSCH accompanied on piano.  MIKE DALTON introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians.

We had one Birthday Rotarian.  VICKIE JACOBS came to Tucson to attend the U of A, which was selected in part because her aunt lived here.  VICKIE has been a member since 2002 and is originally from Iowa.  She is grateful for her friends in RCOT.

SEAN FURRIER introduced our newest member, SCOTT EHRSAM.  SEAN related that SCOTT is a former Class President at Palo Verde High School and two sport letterman there.  SCOTT has a history with our meeting place, the Doubletree, as he worked there for 7 years as a young man serving a variety of dinners and banquets, including our own RCOT meetings.  He never thought he’d be one of “those” Rotarians.  SCOTT is now with Home Instead Senior Care.  SCOTT also related that he has a sister with polio that has been very successful in life and is one of his heroes.  SCOTT is honored to be a part of an organization with the mission to eradicate the disease worldwide.
