WELCOME Rotarians announced PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON at Wednesday’s meeting. PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON rang the bell at 12 p.m. to officially get the meeting started then made the announcement on the buffet, we will have fellowship then at 12:15p start the presentation.
We were led in the pledge and song by Member TONY SIMMS. Today’s song was “America The Beautiful” assisted by KHRIS DODGE on the keys.
The inspirational moment was given by CAMI EVANS. CAMI shared some great thoughts on volunteerism and what makes them priceless and is so important to not only our community but ourselves as volunteers.
Sergeant at Arms DAN KALM stepped up to the podium to introduce our guests. Welcome to all Rotarians and guests.
Next PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON announced the Cookie Monster for this week. It is member BRUCE TUNZE from Medicare A to Z. BRUCE walked up to the podium to receive his Cookie Monster Badge and was handed his official Cookie Bag for the leftovers which BRUCE kindly donated to BOBBY LARSON for his residents at The Villas. BOBBY said they are going to really enjoy the sweets, thanks BRUCE!
PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON then introduced DAVE WHITE as today’s speaker. DAVE is going to give us a Car Show update and Rah-Rah for the Car Show that is fast approaching; 17 days away! DAVE then took over for this spirited and heartfelt meeting about our Car Show. DAVE shared several slides and a few short stories on what it takes to have a successful Car Show and all that is involved in making it a success, all of us. DAVE also asked a few Car Show Volunteers to step up to the mic to share why they “Bust their butt’s” for this event. DREA WILLIAMS, GORDY SIEWERT, CINDY BARBEE, MATT BLAIR and JENN DELANEY each took a turn on the mic to share their Bust Your Butt story. DAVE closed out the Rah-Rah meeting by reminding us to make ‘Nifty Nineteen’ the best Car Show yet.Our Make Way for Books addition today is called “Cars” for DAVE to sign then add to our Make Way for Books Library.

The Raffle and King of Clubs game presented by DAN KALM. King of Clubs card was not drawn. Better luck to all club members next meeting.
DAN KALM announced this week’s Way to Go, DIANA MADARAS. She was featured in Acrylics Magazine, this is the third time she’s been featured in the magazine. Congratulations DIANA! What an accomplishment.

PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON reminded the members the announcements are on each table to view and listed on the website as well as in the Tucsotorian. Next week, 10/8, there are EATS (Events Around Town) lunches at several locations around town, be sure to sign up on the website.
Then PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON went over the rest of the schedule for October and November on the slide and on each table. There are a lot of community service projects coming up before and after our amazing Car Show. You can view the entire list on the website under Events. There is no lunch meeting on 10/22 due to the car show and on 10/29 we will have a replacement mixer, so no lunch meeting.
DAN KALM gave GARY SCHEER the mic so he can share a Happy Jackson. GARY and his lovely wife, Barbara, are celebrating 65 years of marriage today! Happy Anniversary to you both.
PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON gave the introductions for another Happy Jackson. DREA WILLIAMS announced she is a Blue Blazer with Snoop Dog Arizona Bowl. There is a kickoff luncheon in November. See DREA if you are interested in hearing more.
JIM LUBINSKI stood up to share that the final approval for the Senegal Grant was passed. ELIJAH NDOYE shared that this Grant will change the lives of over 40 children! He shared his gratitude for all of us making this Grant happen. PRESIDENT ELECT BOBBY LARSON spoke about the District Conference that was held this past weekend that had a great turn out. ELIJAH also played his musical instruments and sang a bit at the conference, ELIJAH was spectacular.
