Meet Your 2019 TCCS Beneficiaries

Make Way for Books is honored to be the primary beneficiary of the annual Tucson Classics Car Show!  Each year support from Rotary Club of Tucson Foundation means Make Way for Books can travel out into the community to meet families where they are. Through their innovative family literacy strategy, children and parents learn together each week. Young children discover the joy of books and develop critical early literacy and language skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Parents gain skills and tools to support their children’s early learning. And, families receive the highest quality books to build their home libraries. Last year 98% of children participating in Make Way for Books programming gained emergent literacy and language skills that are the foundation for school readiness, learning, and future successful reading. “Rotarians take hard work, steadfast dedication, and service to a new level. Their incredible generosity translates into opportunity for our youngest children. Rotary Club of Tucson is helping to change the literacy landscape of Tucson and ensuring more children in our community have the chance to read and succeed.
