Rotary Club of Tucson Indoor Ride to End Polio was part of National Rotary Effort!

Our Club was one of 15 Rotary Clubs/District to sponsor a Ride to End Polio this fall.  Participating Rotary Clubs were from: Canada (D5360 - 14 Rotary Clubs), Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and eight individual Rotary Club teams from our own D5500.  The number of riders for each team ranged in size from one individual rider to 23 riders.  Individual riders came from smaller clubs where club members could make donations in their rider's name and the club, in their own way, had a fundraising event for Polio Plus.  The total funds raised were $72,673, which with the Gates Match is $216,819. Several Indoor Teams have plans to hold their Rides in April when El Tour de Tucson has been rescheduled.  Look for an article about these upcoming Indoor Ride to End Polio Teams in the April issue of The Rotarian Magazine.
