The hour-by-hour forecast is out for next week and looks like we will be mostly cloudy with possible chance of showers. Temperature at start time should be approaching 50 degrees. As this presents a bit more drive time and as there is a decent amount of parking, we will get a little later start and hopefully many more will be able to join.
Brown Mountain Loop/Out and Back? - Saturday, February 10 - Meet Time 8:45AM for 9AM start
This hike is categorized as moderate and can be completed either as a loop or an out and back on the ridge. We will meet at the Brown Mountain Picnic Area to assure adequate parking. The hike should take about 2 hours covering 4.2 miles with 688 feet of vertical gain.
