People interact with computers in almost every aspect of our lives, whether it be personal computers, cell phones, cars, or even kitchen appliances. But how smart are computers, really? Eduardo Blanco will focus on the intelligence of computers, what they can accomplish, emerging AI technologies like ChatGPT, and their limitations.
duardo Blanco is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Arizona. He conducts research primarily in natural language processing, the subfield of artificial intelligence that is making computers understand language. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the Office of Naval Research, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and generous gifts from industry. Eduardo’s research has been recognized with a Bloomberg Data Science Research Grant and the National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
