Jim Murphy, TCCS 2017 Chair, formally turned the reins over to the 2018 TCCS Chair, Bruce Jacobs, at a recent TCCS Strategic Leadership Team meeting.
Jim held up the weathered cardboard box containing items significant to the Chairmanship and noted that the Foundation spared no money or creativity in obtaining the box, to hold these precious items.
The first item presented to Bruce was a water gauge, not relevant except in Roger Harwell’s year, and hopefully never again. Second, was the very rusted gas can and Jim noted that much like the gas that powers the engine, the Chair is the force fuels a successful car show. The last item was red heart pillow to which Jim said in giving it to Bruce that the TCCS Chair has to have a big, wonderful heart if he/she is to spend the time and effort in leading the car show effort. Everyone again applauded Bruce for taking on this important and significant task.
Now fully engaged as the 2017 TCCS Chair, Bruce has all of the tools necessary to be successful.
