The "first official hike" since April 2020 has been completed!  I was joined by Pat Patton and Bill Mesch for a leisurely stroll up Marshall Gulch below Summerhaven.  We were also able to complete the full loop returning to the trail head on the Lower Aspen Trail.  The remnants of the Bighorn Fire are impossible to miss, especially the smell of the burn that is still very prevalent.  The good news is that there are still live trees throughout the burn scar.  The better news is that the monsoon is already impacting and many things are beginning to grow as the mountainside is greening up!
