Our "Events Around Town" held on October 9th, was a huge success with four locations spread out around Tucson. Thank you to Brittany Battle & Khris Dodge, Glen Ewing & Bobby Larson, Gary Olsen, and Sandy McCaslin for hosting. If you would like to host an event, please let President Kurtis or Dorinna know. If you haven't attended one of these fun events, be sure to register for our next scheduled Events Around Town on November 13th. Below are pictures from a couple of the events.
It was a great day to take a first-time hike creating a hybrid loop that concluded with the always favorite Mint Spring and Upper Aspen trails. Joined by Rotarian Bobby Larson, we began on the top of Mount Lemmon from Radio Ridge descending down the Ski Valley service road and connecting with the upper part of Summerhaven. We then hit the Mint Spring trailhead connecting with Mike & Oksana Schulte in the Marshall Saddle. The hike concluded with the climb back to Radio Ridge via Upper Aspen followed by lunch and beverages at the Sawmill.

The Car Show Friday Night Dinner will take place at the Gregory School, 3231 N. Craycroft, start time is 5:00 p.m. Cost Per Person is $20 (includes two drink tickets, cash bar after) will be billed to your account. Registration is on the Website under “Upcoming Events”. Be sure to register your guests. Lucky Wishbone Chicken Dinner.
Lee Olitzky and I are planning the next Rotary Cycling Fellowship to be on Saturday October 26 at 8 AM starting at St Phillips Plaza South side parking lot near the loop. We will start together but each rider can choose their own route and distance. Riders should wear a Rotary cycling jersey. So many of our fellow Rotary members have enthusiastically approached/cornered/demanded Tom and I arrange for another evening of throwing axes - that we have accordingly arranged for an evening of throwing axes. (We guarantee that the event and location is professional and safe - and accordingly minimal casualties are anticipated). The event will take place at St. Hubert's Hatchet House (check out their website), 908 W. Prince Road, October 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Food will be pizza and cookies, soft drinks, beer. Tom Lichliter's employer, Anchor Wave Digital Marketing Agency will be sponsoring the event. Will there be prizes, yes! To RSVP please email Tom atTom@anchorwave.com by 4:00 p.m., 10/25/24. We are limited to 50 people and the cost is $20, which includes 1.5 hours of axe throwing, the munchies and beverages. So come on out and have some fun and fellowship!

Our next events, same place, same time on: 12/7/24 and 1/11/2025! When these two dates are completed, we will have earned signage designation for the Club. Please think about joining in as our service project is exercise, great camaraderie, fresh air and we leave a positive impression in the community.

This is a long standing tradition for our club and one of the most fun and rewarding projects we have. Please consider volunteering if you have not already done so.
