I am beyond thrilled and humbled to serve as the new President of our incredible club. It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of so many amazing individuals who have led us to where we are today. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the greatest Rotary Club and I am excited for all the possibilities before us.
Last year, we experienced growth in membership, and I am eager to continue that trend. Our club has so much to offer - from our Tucson Classics Car Show; to our service projects; to our fellowships - but most importantly, we are blessed with amazing members who are dedicated to making a difference in our community.
As we embark on this new year, I ask each one of you to lean in. Lean into service above self, lean in to create our successes, and lean into the magic of Rotary. Together, we can achieve great things and continue to make a positive impact on our club, our community and the world.
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and dedication to our club. It is because of your hard work and passion that we can achieve such a tangible impact. I look forward to working alongside all of you in the coming year and I am confident that together we will make our club even more amazing.
Thank you for all that you do and for being a part of our Rotary family. I look forward to seeing you all at our meeting on July 17th as I share our club goals for this year.

We have an opportunity to assist Sister Jose Women's Shelter. a 2024 Car Show beneficiary, this year. Sister Jose is dedicated to assisting women experiencing homelessness in a welcoming safe space. Their day center provides unaccompanied women who are unhoused with a stable and safe environment to recuperate from the daily struggle of homelessness and extreme poverty. We'll be doing two donation drives with items their women will need on August 21 and October 2. There will also be two service projects September 21 and October 5. September 21 encompasses weed restoration (picking) and October 5 will be some fence painting. Please take a look at the flyers on your table for the list of items needed for the donation drive. Contact Wally or Jim with questions.
The second hike of our first annual "Summer Series" was another well attended outing. Martha and I were joined by Hugh & Allyn Thompson, Michael Guymon, Bill Condit, Bill Mesch and family members Amy Nelson & Jim Bachman for a beautiful morning on Mount Lemmon. The group enjoyed the Meadow and Mount Lemmon loop for a relaxing and scenic hike prior to the heat of the day.
Please mark your calendars for the third leg of our Summer Hiking Series on Saturday, August 10th when we will be heading into Wilderness of Rocks from the Marshall Gulch trailhead!
We are looking for a couple members to join the A/V Committee. If you are interested in working the A/V or Switcher Studio once a month at our weekly meetings, please contact Dan Kalm.
