Social Mixer ~ Barrio Brewing Co. ~ 10/30/24
Our next  Replacement/Mixer is on Wednesday, October 30th at Barrio Brewing Co., 800 E. 16th Street from 5:30 p.m. ~ 7:30 p.m.  Good food and No Host Bar.  This event will replace our lunch meeting on Wednesday, October 30th.  We are looking forward to seeing all our members and guests at Barrio Brewing on the 30th for this fun evening of fellowship!  You will need to register under "Upcoming Events" on the home page of our website, www.TucsonRotary.org.  Be sure to register your guests ($35 Guest Fee will be billed to your account).  Deadline to register is noon on 10/28.  Hope to see you there.  Let's get to socializing!
Revving Up Fun: The 18th Annual Tucson Classics Car Show
 
On October 19th, the Rotary Club of Tucson revved up the excitement at the 18th Annual Tucson Classics Car Show, transforming the Gregory School into a car enthusiast's paradise! With over 400 gleaming classic cars on display, the event was a feast for the eyes and the senses, complemented by mouthwatering food trucks, vibrant vendors, and lively music that kept spirits high. The highlight of the day? The thrilling chance to win a stunning 2017 2LT Corvette Convertible or a cool $40,000 cash—talk about a grand prize that had everyone dreaming! It was a day filled with nostalgia, community, and a shared love for all things automotive.
BBQ Bliss: A Smokin' Good Time at the Bashful Bandit BBQ
 
On Wednesday, October 23rd, the Rotary Club of Tucson fired up some good times at the Bashful Bandit BBQ! 30+ members gathered for a delicious lunch filled with mouthwatering barbecue and lively conversations. With great food and even greater company, the event was a hit, leaving everyone with full bellies and big smiles. Here’s to more fun gatherings and the spirit of fellowship that makes our club so special!
RCOT Axe Throwing Fellowship Event - 10/28/24
So many of our fellow Rotary members have enthusiastically approached/cornered/demanded Tom and I arrange for another evening of throwing axes - that we have accordingly arranged for an evening of throwing axes. (We guarantee that the event and location is professional and safe - and accordingly minimal casualties are anticipated).  The event will take place at St. Hubert's Hatchet House (check out their website), 908 W. Prince Road, October 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Food will be pizza and cookies, soft drinks, beer.  Tom Lichliter's employer, Anchor Wave Digital Marketing Agency will be sponsoring the event.  Will there be prizes, yes!  To RSVP please email Tom at Tom@anchorwave.com by 4:00 p.m., 10/25/24.  We are limited to 50 people and the cost is $20, which includes 1.5 hours of axe throwing, the munchies and beverages.  So come on out and have some fun and fellowship!

Events Around Town - 2nd Week 11/13/24
We will be holding our next "Events Around Town on Wednesday, 11/13/24.  Remember, this is the second week of the month, therefore there is no scheduled club lunch meeting.  These events are hosted by members at restaurants scattered around Tucson.  If you are interested in hosting an event, please let President Kurtis or the Rotary office know.  We will need the location and how many you will be hosting.  Thank you!

Rotarians will provide maintenance on a section of the Arizona Trail relatively near to Tucson, to make sure that it is in good condition. The work is across gentle terrain and on an expertly built trail. Meet time and location TBD. Great views, a hike, and a work project all in one!

 Our next events, same place, same time on: 12/7/24 and 1/11/2025! When these two dates are completed, we will have earned signage designation for the Club. Please think about joining in as our service project is exercise, great camaraderie, fresh air and we leave a positive impression in the community.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing; Saturday, December 14th
Many thanks to those of you who have already signed up to ring the bells on Saturday, December 14th.  We will have 8 locations with 4 shifts each; 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, and 3-5 pm.  This is a long standing tradition for our club and one of the most fun and rewarding projects we have.  Please consider volunteering if you have not already done so.  Contact either Tom Strasburg (520-235-6163) or Dan Kalm (520-300-1293).  Text messages are welcome.  Hurry, Spaces are filling up fast!
