Club Assembly II
This week we will be having our follow up meeting from the Club Assembly that we held on February 1st. We received great feedback from those that participated at that meeting and a lot of great ideas to share back with the Club.

We had 134 members that participated in the survey that went out last month. As much as we would have loved everyone to have voiced their opinions 62% responded which statistically is significant. We have the full presentation of the survey that we will be sharing with you so please try to make the time to attend.

I am excited about all the feedback and believe we have many ways to reenergize our Club in a manner that might never have happened had we not had the Assembly and Survey. I look forward to sharing your feedback with everyone and begin to take some new steps in the future of our Club.  ~~ President Bruce

Arizona Trail Passage #8, Rincon Valley
Arizona Trail Passage #8, Rincon Valley – LeBuzz on Catalina Highway meet time TBA
This is a point-to-point hike that will begin at the Gabe Zimmerman trailhead, as the southern access point.  We will be hiking primarily in desert scrub and saguaros, passing through Colossal Cave Mountain Park and ending at the northern trailhead on South Pistol Hill Rd.  Due to the distance, this hike is categorized as intermediate covering 12.5 miles and offering 1,300 vertical feet, in gradual gains.  This is a great hike for increasing stamina and endurance.  As this is a point-to-point hike, we will be coordinating vehicles at each end so RSVP is requested.

Projected hiking time will be from 7-8 hours allowing time for breaks and meals on the trail.  Please be sure to bring plenty of water, food & sunscreen for a full day in the desert.  3-4 liters of water are highly recommended.

Help Wanted - Administrative Assistant
Help Wanted!

Unfortunately, our wonderful Kari Meger will be leaving the Rotary office to embark on a new venture.  We are seeking a P/T Administrative Assistant to work 20 hours a week.  Tough shoes to fill for sure but if you know someone with excellent office, computer and organizational skills, please contact Dorinna at the Rotary office.  We want to wish Kari all the best in her new position.  She certainly will be missed by all...

Miles of Memories
Miles of Memories

I shared with those in attendance on the 13th that this next year I want us to share “Miles of Memories” together. I referenced the memories we have created together over the years and the impact we have had in so many others lives as well as our own.

The children and the parents receiving the grass ball field in San Carlos transformed from a dirt lot. The recipients and their families that obtained their mobility by receiving a wheelchair in Nogales. The memories of our member that participated along with the memories of working together on various local workday projects. Our hiking, golf, home hospitality fellowships and the list goes on.

I ask for you to help me on “our journey” over this next year by sponsoring me in the “Miles of Memories.” My goal is to walk a minimum of 35 miles a week, 1,825 for the year and honestly want to surpass 2000+. I would like for you to consider donating by the mile and we will share the outcome at the first meeting of each month on my progress.

Donations can go to the Foundation toward a Paul Harris, the President’s Discretionary Fund, or others of your choosing. I want us to have fun on our journey over this next year and to INSPIRE each other and our benefactors through the world of Rotary.

Thank you for your support in making our 102nd year one where we create memories together.
