Get ready for our next Events Around Town on Wednesday, June 4th! This monthly tradition offers a great chance to connect with fellow Rotarians in smaller, more casual settings around Tucson.
Please note: Due to a scheduling conflict with our regular venue at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC), we will not be holding our usual lunch meeting on June 4th. We’ll return to our regular luncheon meeting at the TCC the following week on Wednesday, June 11th. Instead, members will gather at one of the following locations hosted by fellow Rotarians:

Our Social Mixer at Si Charro! Oro Valley on Wednesday evening was the perfect midweek pick-me-up! From the moment guests arrived, the restaurant buzzed with energy — a colorful, welcoming space that set the tone for a night full of fun and connection.
Rotarians and guests filled the room with laughter, stories, and warm conversation. Whether reconnecting with longtime friends or meeting someone new, the evening captured what makes our club so special: community, camaraderie, and a shared sense of purpose — all wrapped in a relaxed, festive setting.
Of course, the mini chimis, street tacos, fresh salad, and churros didn’t hurt either! The food was a great complement to the atmosphere, offering just the right touch of local flavor without slowing down the social flow.
Thank you to everyone who joined us — your presence is what made the night such a success. We can’t wait to do it again!
The Paul Harris Fellowship PHF) is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905. The Fellowship was established in his honor in 1957 to express appreciation for a contribution of $1,000 to the humanitarian and educational programs of the Rotary Foundation. (Each additional donation totaling $1,000 recognizes the donor with additional PHF levels.) Those programs include an array of projects that save and invigorate the lives of people around the world and enhance international friendship and understanding. Foundation programs provide educational opportunities, food, potable water, health care, immunizations and shelter for millions of people. These activities are funded, implemented and managed by Rotarians and Rotary clubs around the globe. Rotarians can also designate a PHF to recognize another person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives and mission of The Rotary Foundation to build world understanding and peace.
As we bring our Event Moments series to a close, we reflect one last time on the spirit, connection, and joy shared on April 30, 2025, at the Mountain Oyster Club. This final collection of photos captures the energy and heart that made the evening so memorable—moments that shine a light on what makes the Rotary Club of Tucson truly special: our members.
The Event was a celebration of a year shaped by the dedication, compassion, and service of every Rotarian in our club. From leading projects and volunteering time, to showing up with enthusiasm and heart, our members are the reason we continue to grow and make an impact in our community. This night was for you—and because of you.

The Rotary Club of Tucson is proud to announce the recent installation of a new “Tucson Clean and Beautiful” sign along Oracle Road—officially recognizing our Club’s ongoing efforts to maintain this vital stretch of roadway.
Located in a high-visibility area, the sign proudly bears the name of the Rotary Club of Tucson, marking our long-standing commitment to keeping Tucson clean, vibrant, and welcoming. This recognition comes as part of the Adopt-A-Roadway program through Tucson Clean and Beautiful, which partners with organizations that take responsibility for the beautification of local roadways.
Members volunteer their time to conduct regular cleanups along Oracle Road, collecting litter, promoting civic pride, and demonstrating our Rotary values in action. Now, with the installation of this sign, the community can see what we’ve always known—Rotarians are making a difference, one cleanup at a time.
We encourage all members to take part in upcoming cleanup events—not only to support this initiative, but to help keep our name and mission visible in the community we love and serve.

Saturday, June 14, 2025 - From the Summit trailhead, Meadow & Mount Lemmon Loop
This month's trek will take us to the top of Mount Lemmon for a shorter but not lacking in scenic views, hike in the pine trees. From the trailhead we will begin on the Meadow trail offering breathtaking views eventually connecting with the Mount Lemmon trail for the ascent back up to the trailhead. This hike also offers a great, little spin off going to the fire observation overlook and some of the best views anywhere. Overall hike distance is up to 2.6 miles, covering around 400 vertical feet. The hike itself will be fairly quick but will be our first real adventure at altitude, so plan accordingly and bring sufficient water and snacks!
Meet and departure will be from LeBuzz, located on Catalina Highway and Tanque Verde with a meet time of 6:30AM, departure at 6:45AM and anticipate hike start at 8AM. The hike will take about 2-2.5 hours and will be followed by at stop at Beyond Bread, located at the Mount Lemmon Lodge.
Join fellow Rotarians on Wednesday, June 25th, for the Club’s Annual Change of Administration Lunch Meeting—a time-honored Rotary tradition celebrating leadership and service.
This special occasion will mark the official transition as President Kurtis Dawson hands over the gavel to President-Elect Dot Kret. We will honor Kurtis for his outstanding leadership and contributions over the past year and warmly welcome Dot as she prepares to guide the Club through the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
Come enjoy an afternoon of fellowship, reflection, and celebration with your fellow members. Let’s come together to show our gratitude and support for both outgoing and incoming leadership.
