Rotary Mix & Mingle
On June 5th, by popular demand, the MIX & MINGLE returns! Feedback from our past survey indicated that some of the greatest values of Rotary membership were camaraderie and networking. Be it personal or professional, it seems there is always a Rotarian who can help. Members found it difficult to get to know each other given the time constraints of our regular meetings, so Mix and Mingle was added to the roster.

In lieu of a scheduled speaker, we will have guided questions to be discussed at the tables between members. This will be a fun opportunity to get to know each other better, as well as learn some things you “might not know.” I hope you plan to attend and be prepared to have some fun.

YIR,
PE Kurtis Dawson
Replacement/Social Mixer ~ A Huge Success!
The Social Mixer at The Eddy Hotel had a wonderful turnout with over 85 people in attendance.  Was it because they wanted to see the new Eddy or they just wanted to have some fun, good food and fellowship?  It was all of the above.  Those that couldn't make it, hoping you can attend the next social function on June 29th at The Omni.  President Margaret will be ending her term and passing the gavel on to incoming President Kurtis Dawson.  You don't want to miss this fun evening.  Sign up on the website.

We will be meeting for lunch, as our regular club lunch meeting is not being held that day.  Please let me know if you plan to attend at nxstockton@gmail.com or 303-378-1770.

Also, please let me know if you would like to be included on the book club email distribution list.  I limit all-club emails to a maximum of one per month, the goal being to assure all new members are aware of our activities while refraining from inundating those who are not interested.

COA Party - Sat. 6/29/24
The Club's Change of Administration Party will take place on Saturday, June 29th at the Omni Tucson National Resort.  This is when President Margaret will pass the gavel and reigns to President Elect Kurtis Dawson.  It is always a very fun evening (live band) so please go onto the website www.tucsonrotary.org and register yourself and your guests.  The cost is $100 per person which will include a raffle ticket for Jim Click's Pinetop condo.  This is not a replacement mixer so all will be billed to your account.  Other prizes will be drawn by Members who have 5 service points.  So, help us thank Margaret Higgins for a sterling year, and welcome in Kurtis Dawson as our new President!
Car Show Tickets
At the lunch meetings, stop by the Car Show Ticket Sales table at the back to: (1) pick up your ticket packet or get more tickets (2)  sign up for selling tickets at Little Anthony events on several Saturdays or (3) get forms and let us know If you're willing to reach out to nonprofits or other Rotary Clubs in Arizona to be partner sellers. Also, if you can think of another community event at which we might be able to sell Car Show tickets, let us know.  ~ Jeanne Zetah
Thank You ~ Adopt A Road Service Project
Thank you to our RCOT Volunteers & Adopt a Road RCOT Community Service Project will restart in September.

I want to express our mutual gratitude for the incredible effort and dedication shown in picking up the roadside trash. RCOT members' selfless actions not only contribute to a cleaner environment but also inspire others to take part in caring for our community. Your contribution does not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for your valuable service. When we began, we had 20 plus bags of trash. Now we pick up half that amount.

Thank you for being champions of environmental stewardship and for making our world a better place, one trash pickup at a time.

Has anyone seen Ken Light or Holly Stein. We are not sure if they made it out of the wash they were trying to clean up😉.

Adopt A Road will restart in September. Our RCOT team has completed three roadside trash collections.

Many thanks, Lee Olitzky
Cycling Fellowship
The first cycling fellowship gathered Saturday for an early morning ride.  Lead by Matt Blair standing in for Alan Roger’s who was otherwise unavailable for this ride. This hearty group cruised 30 miles in beautiful weather.  “Scout Matt” decided to make a left instead of right and we found ourselves peddling through Tucson’s back roads ;). However, we appreciate is navigation skills overall. A great time was had by all …beer stop was required upon our return.  Please join us for our next ride to be determined.” ~ Lee Olitzky
