DARK DAY ~ July 1, 2020

We are DARK on July 1st due to the Fourth of July. Have a wonderful and safe holiday!

July 8th Meeting ~ Hacienda del Sol

Our first meeting in the 2020-2021 Rotary year will take place on Wednesday, July 8th (12:00 noon) at Hacienda del Sol (Casa Luna Room), 5501 N. Hacienda del Sol Road. 2020-21 President Jennifer Hoffman will present her vision and goals for this upcoming Rotary year.

Since we are limited to 48 attendees, ALL members must sign up on the club website to attend (this is first come, first serve), www.tucsonrotary.org. Scroll down on the left hand side of the Home Page to "Upcoming Events". Hacienda del Sol needs the attendee numbers by Tuesday, June 30^th by 2:00 pm. We realize this deadline is sooner than normal. If you have an optional meal request, please note your selection in the "COMMENT SECTION" when registering on the club website. The meal options were sent via email last week. We will do our best in ensuring the members who wish to attend a meeting will have the opportunity. Again, due to the limited seating, we are opening up the meetings to members only. As these restrictions are lifted, we will then be able to host Honorary Members, Visiting Rotarians and Guests.

COA Party ~ A Success!

Even though everyone was masked, temps checked at the door, and social distanced, our Change of Administration Party was a huge success Saturday evening. President Bob Logan passed the gavel to our 2020-2021 President, Jennifer Hoffman and pins were exchanged. We had wonderful music played by member Khris Dodge, and the food was delicious! Thank you to all those that ventured out to ring in the new Rotary year with President Hoffman. The Reign of Terror has come to an end! A huge thank you to Bob Logan, who guided us through unchartered waters with amazing virtual meetings and weekly on screen events with Zoom. It was without a doubt, an incredible adventure throughout the year. We wish President Jen the best of luck and much success in 2020-2021!

Wed Zoom Meeting #3 -- "Hump Day" Happy Hour with Mark Irvin

I have set it up where only those with computer video are able to join in (no phones). All microphones are set to mute when they initially join. As host I will remind guests to unmute when needed but to keep the mute on when they are not talking.

As discussed, the Zoom app is not needed but it sure makes it easier for everyone and is free. Anyway, here are my weekly meeting details.

We hope you have been able to hop on YouTube to view our virtual meetings. Rick Rose and his team at Film Creations has allowed our club to stay connected and have fellowship...virtually! Thank you for the members who have come into film so we can see familiar faces during our meetings.
